The Lulu Candle Collection is a unique collaboration between Kayu Studio and New Zealand based brand Special Studio, who 3D printed the candle moulds based on scaled down versions of their popular Lulu Stool. We then brought these moulds to our skilled candle makers in Java, Indonesia. 

Located in Tauranga, Special Studio employs cutting-edge 3D printing techniques, crafting futuristic design furniture pieces with a commitment to sustainability by utilising a minimum of 98% recycled plastic. Their dedication to minimising waste aligns seamlessly with their ethos. The Lulu shape is a staple in the Special Studio Collection. 

All candles are made from natural and eco-friendly certified palm kernel wax that is non-toxic when burnt. Produced in a small factory located in East Java Indonesia, all candles are hand-poured and WFTO (fair trade certified). Our palm wax is sustainably sourced from RSPO-certified plantations in Sumatra and Malaysia and is a by-product of the palm oil industry, giving new life to a material that would otherwise go to waste.

Please note that natural candles can be susceptible to frosting. This is a natural effect that only occurs with pure vegetable waxes and will not at all affect how your candle performs. Frosting can easily be removed by gently wiping the surface of the candle with a soft dry cloth or tissue.
