Designed for outdoor living, our furniture is made to hold up to the elements while ageing with character. Here's a little more about the materials behind your piece, and how each one settles in over time.
Teak — Natural
Untreated teak, left in its purest form. Each surface is hand-sanded to a smooth, warm finish. Exposed to the elements over time, natural teak weathers into a silvery-grey patina — a quiet mark of age we've always found beautiful.
Teak — Khaki
A hand-applied, multi-step finish that gives teak an aged, lived-in character from the start. Left uncovered, this finish will gradually wear with exposure. Once it does, the wood beneath settles into the same silvery-grey patina found in our natural teak.
Powder-Coated Aluminium
Lightweight, strong, and naturally resistant to corrosion. Every aluminium component is marine-grade, built for coastal and humid climates. Each piece is finished with a durable powder coat — an electrostatically applied, heat-cured process that forms a hard, even surface far more resilient than paint. It resists chipping, scratching, fading, and weathering, keeping colour consistent and true across every piece.
HDPE Wicker
A high-density polyethylene weave, engineered to echo the look and feel of natural rattan with far greater durability. HDPE wicker holds its colour and shape through sun, rain, and shifting temperatures — UV-resistant, waterproof, and suited to any climate. It won't crack, peel, or fade with extended sun exposure, and resists mould and mildew.
Sunproof® Fabrics
Sunproof® by Ateja® is built for the outdoors — tested against international standards for colour fastness, UV protection, water repellency, and resistance to stains and mildew. Available in 100% olefin and 100% solution-dyed acrylic, both dry quickly and hold their colour season after season. Acrylic carries a five-year warranty; olefin is warranted for 1,500 hours of colour fastness and rot-proof performance. A technical fabric, built for lasting comfort.
High-Density Foam
The fill across our outdoor seating range, chosen for its density and resilience. Unlike standard foam, it holds its shape under regular use rather than compressing over time. Ours is closed-cell and moisture-resistant, engineered for outdoor humidity — though it isn't designed to be submerged or left saturated.
