Our Reclaimed Teak Collection is sustainably sourced from salvaged buildings and structures across Indonesia. Skilled artisans carefully select and restore this hardwood using traditional techniques before crafting it into one of our signature Kayu Studio furniture pieces. Each piece carries its own character, with natural variations such as knots, distinct grain patterns, colour differences, remnants of nail marks, or small surface cracks. Our reclaimed teak dining tables and coffee tables are pre-treated with Golden Care Teak Shield, which helps protect against spills while preserving the unique character of the wood. All other reclaimed teak items are finished with a standard water-based transparent matt topcoat.
To care for your reclaimed teak furniture, always use coasters, placemats and pot holders, and wipe up any spills straight away. Dust regularly with a soft cloth and clean gently with mild soap and water, drying immediately.
For dining and coffee tables, we recommend reapplying Golden Care Teak Shield every six months to maintain resistance against food stains and everyday wear.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, heaters, and moisture, and never place hot, cold, or wet items directly on the surface. If the timber begins to appear dry or lose its depth of tone, reapplying Golden Care Teak Shield will help restore protection and finish.
Choose options
