This beautiful utilitarian object will enhance your home for years to come. Made from Terracotta Clay, this Javanese Water Pot was traditionally used to hold clean bathing and drinking water until a modernised system was introduced. A stunning piece of history and organic beauty.

Please note:
Our authentic antique pots are all unglazed pieces - beautiful but not built for New Zealand's extremes. Keep them out of hard frost and prolonged direct summer sun, as rapid temperature swings can crack the clay.

Product Care

For everyday maintenance, simply wipe your piece with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. For a deeper clean, use mild soap mixed with water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cloths, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.If using outdoors, place in a shaded area where possible, as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause fading over time. To prevent scratches, avoid dragging the pot across rough surfaces and lift when repositioning. Please note, this piece is not watertight. We recommend placing a watertight vessel inside if using with fresh foliage or plants.
